Disasters often seem random, unexpected, and unpreventable. But, after investigation, a familiar pattern almost always emerges. Warning signs were ignored, preventive actions delayed. My hope is that by understanding the mistakes that lead to disasters in one realm, we can avert them in another.


COVID-19 Vaccine Effectiveness in the Age of Delta and What Else We Can Do

60% of hospitalized Covid-19 patients in Israel are vaccinated. This is true, and it’s being used as evidence that the vaccines are ineffective. However, it’s also true that vaccines are highly effective, even in Israel. This article explains how that apparent contradiction is possible, and why the reporting on the data out of Israel is misleading.


COVID-19 Vaccine Boosters — A Methodology for Deciding

Recommendations for booster shots are coming. Should we get one? In this article, I go through my thought process for deciding this by using myself as an example.
